Happy 2K15!!!!

If anyone out there in the big, wide internet sees this--Happy New Year!!!! The Holidays were fast and incredible and I'm looking forward to something new.

2015 has a very special sound to it and my heart tells me it's going to be a good one! I want to sit down and write out a few goals for the year, but for now I'll leave you with a photo. It's from camp this summer and it's from one of the happiest times I can remember for awhile. I resolve to be as happy as the girl in this picture:

Spring Foward

Cool, dark mornings and sleepy eyes wary for the day ahead. 

Warm, bright evenings squeezing in one.last. thing. before the sun sets. 

I curse the morning we lose that important hour of sleep. Somehow it throws off my entire day, but I'm thankful because it means summer is coming. Summer will be beautiful for us this year as we'll be spending it at our home away from home. Preparations for our move are beginning to manifest and planning for camp is well on its way. I would be lying if there wasn't some worry and apprehension about our not-to-distant future, but on the whole I am feeling hopeful that every piece will fall into place. Life will never be perfect, but I certainly think it will improve and I know God has more in store for us than just getting by. Springtime always lifts my spirits--I swear the sun really does a body some good! Going for a drive with the windows down clears my head and the anxiety's melt away. 

Bring on the summer. I'll catch up on sleep later.

Christmas in July 2009

Hallelujah it's Friday!!! This has been one of those weeks that just seems to drag its feet, sits down for a long cup of coffee, decides to eat that second cookie and then finally heads outs the door. I'm looking forward to Saturday because Joshua and I are heading to Memphis for a day of shopping, fun, and BBQ. This will be the farthest we've driven our "new" car so pray that it still handles just like it does around town! For now, I want to leave you with a little Throw Back Thursday photo since I didn't post anything yesterday: 

This little beauty is from Summer 2009. It was the first summer Josh and I were dating and we worked together at Camp Wamava. It was Christmas in July and as per tradition, Josh played The Grinch in the annual performance. Notice his gorgeous tan and my explosive freckles. Love it.
